She has perfected the dry-brush technique, using Winsor-Newton watercolor paints, allowing light to show through, resulting in realistic luminescent images. Her brushes are made of sable hair, imported from England. Jacquie paints on heavy (1200 lb.) Arches watercolor paper, composed of 100% rag, imported from France.

This painting of a wolf presented a very special challenge for me. Capturing the fur was especially complex, requiring several layers of colors and leaving the white of the paper to complete the composition.
