Jacquie Vaux is a prominent Animal Artist with many years of experience. Her paintings have been sold all over the world.
She is an ardent student of nature; studying in great detail each animal she portrays, enabling her to add to the appeal of her images.
She has perfected the dry-brush technique, using Winsor-Newton watercolor paints, allowing light to show through, resulting in realistic luminescent images. Her brushes are made of sable hair, imported from England. Jacquie paints on heavy (1200 lb.) Arches watercolor paper, composed of 100% rag, imported from France.
The fine detail she is able to achieve enables her to capture the unique personality of each animal; her goal for each painting.

This little Bengal Tiger cub is the subject of one of my teaching Videos.The challenge of this painting was to show the white of the fur with just a few brush strokes allowing the white of the paper to show through.
